Lessons in the desert

We can’t stop doing things for charity and with books even in our holidays. Below are some photos of our trip to the Sahara.

For the nomadic children of Morocco this tent is all they have for a school.

Girls and boys from the ages of 7 to 13 learn together with nothing more than a blackboard and chalk.

We donated 100 book to the school. Our 3 and 5 year old handed the books out. I want them to understand just how privileged there are having been born in the UK.

The children shy at first, start to open up when the books come out.

While outside the camels look on, and the only classroom resource shines in the Sahara noon day sun.
